Every human deserves a choice over what happens to their body, their image, their voice and their personal information. Recording someone without consent is not okay - and covert recording? It's CREEPY - no matter how much we try to normalise it.
WHY IS THE FLYING CHILD TALKING ABOUT THIS?
We are survivor-led by those with lived experience of child sexual abuse. We know what it feels like to have someone overstep our boundaries.
The principles that drive us as a non-profit organisation apply to technology too - particulalrly as it is evolving so fast. Whether AI recording, transcription in a Zoom meeting - or whatever comes next, RESPECT for other people should NEVER be optional. The Flying Child is NOT anti-technology but we are anti it being used irresponsibly (and at the expense of dignity, privacy, respect and consent).
